Cam switches from SÄLZER® are manually operated, freely programmable switching devices for main and auxiliary circuits. With up to 24 contacts and selectable switching angles of 30°, 45°, 60° or 90°, up to 12 switching positions can be individually realized. As a result, they offer exceptional flexibility when implementing complex control tasks - from classic on/off switching to step and group switching to coded switching operations in measuring, testing and control systems.
Technical precision down to the last detail
Like all Sälzer products, the cam switches are based on a modular design principle that combines maximum technical precision with application-specific adaptability. The design comprises a drive module that transmits the rotary movement of the actuating element into a defined switching sequence, a design module that enables various mechanical designs and mounting directions, and the central switch module in which the switching operations are mechanically realized.
Inside, positively opening contacts ensure reliable, reproducible switching behavior. The switching mechanism itself is designed in such a way that constant contact forces and reliable separation distances are guaranteed even with frequent actuation over many years. This means that SÄLZER® cam switches are not only precise, but also extremely durable - a decisive quality feature in safety-relevant applications.
Robust mechanics and intelligent contact technology
The contact technology of Sälzer cam switches is characterized by high-quality materials and precise workmanship. Highly conductive contact metals and optimized contact spring systems minimize contact resistance and ensure stable electrical properties over the entire service life. The optional gold plating of the contact surfaces means that even the smallest control currents can be reliably switched - a significant advantage in sensitive measurement and control applications.
The switches also impress mechanically thanks to their robust design. Bearings and shaft guides are designed to maintain their precision even under continuous load and in harsh industrial environments. The IP20 protection against accidental contact also ensures a high level of user safety and reliably protects against unintentional contact with live parts.
